A frequency distribution is a [[Data Visualisation|VL]] of [[Data|data]] that shows the number of times where the [[Science/Scientific Method/Measurement|measurement]] of a property takes on each of its values. A distribution is positively or negatively skewed, if its [[Mode|mode]] lies more to one side than the [[Median|median]] and the [[Mean|mean]].
